Finding the cause of pain:
Your first session begins with a thorough total body evaluation that looks at your posture, movement, muscle balance, structural alignment,
strength, flexibility, joint/cranial/visceral/fascial mobility and inter-tissue relationships to find the true cause of your pain or impairment as well as
secondary or tertiary relationships as to why/how it came to be in the first place.  This evaluation takes into account your medical history, past
medical reports (MRI's, x-rays, CAT), lifestyle, nutrition, daily patterns and unique body composition while forming a rehabilitative plan back to
wellness.

This whole body approach places emphasis on finding the "primary tissue in lesion" that is causing the pain or problem as well as the associated
sources of body imbalances that are deeper contributors. Sometimes, the true cause that continues to perpetuate the cycle of pain is happening
far from where you might think it is, or it may be in an altogether different system of the body.

Each person is unique in his/her story, personality, and body make-up, which should all be taken into account when addressing these issues.
Above all, Integrative Physical Therapy recognizes and respects the integrated relationship of each person's physical, energetic, emotional,
mental and spiritual qualities as a human being.
